That's a quote from the meditation class I attended tonight. It was very new-agey, touchy-feely but I did end up feeling super-relaxed at the end of the class. I guess we all walk around with all kinds of tension in our bodies, totally unaware of it, until someone says, "stop holding silliness in your ankles!" Yes, you did read silliness, and honestly, that is what my meditation teacher said. Ok so maybe I am a little loopy now that I'm all relaxed, but I found that it made sense at the time, but I also thought it was so hilarious I almost laughed out loud in the class. He was making a point about how tensing up makes you hold yourself back from achieving your full potential. It does seem odd that letting go can be so productive, though!
